5.2 Alignment for pump transmission shaft and motor shaft
The max tolerance range of the different axis between the two shaft(standard installation):
Radial offset : 1% ( max external diameter)
Offset angle: ≤1°30″
The pump assembly, including the motor and base, has been adjusted before leave the factory. Take off the shaft cover and check the axiality again when it is fixed. If the floor is not flat enough, it will make pump base bend and will cause accidents.
5.3 Rotation direction (a) Inlet and outlet direction The inlet and outlet on the rotor pump has been prescript. Install the inlet and outlet pipes according to the mark on the pump. Reverse connecting the pipes is prohibited. Any special needs on the inlet and outlet direction, please inform the manufacture. (b) Rotation direction of the motor The rotation direction of the motor is set by the motor factory, and the rotation mark has put on the pump. Connect the power wire according to the rotation mark. 5.4 Pressure The pump has rated pressure which has marked on the nameplate. Users should choose the pump in accordance with the pressure of your pipe system 5.5. Pipe system
Keep some medium in the inlet pipe, in order to cool the mechanical seal when it starts
Clean the pipes before the installing the pump
No extra pressure on the pump when the pipes connected to it. Make sure the inlet and outlet pipe will not influence the pump installing to the pump base.
Keep the pipes on level, in case there is residual air in the pipes
For medium with high viscosity, high position feed method is suggested, which will increase the inlet pressure. The higher viscosity of the medium is , the higher position of the medium tank should be.
Make sure the vibration of the pipes will not do harm to the pump
Mechanical seal
The shaft seal for our products is mechanical seal. It includes rotating seal ring and stationary seal ring, whose seal surface material is alloy or silicon carbide. When the pump works, the rotating seal ring and stationary seal ring will produce friction, which creates friction heat in consequence. When there is medium through the pump head, the heat will be taken away by the medium. If there is no medium, the heat will getting higher and higher, and will burn the seal surface of the rotating seal ring and stationary seal ring. Thus idling is forbidden.
Safety valves installation
The safety valves on the pipes are for preventing backflow. The rotor pumps may be used for transport to fixed output equipments directly like filling machines or high pressure pump. If there is no safety valve on the pipe between the rotor pump and the equipment, the outlet quantity may be more than the input flow the equipment needs, which may result in expand or explosion tube, or even damage the rotor pumps. The safety valve can solve this problem. If there is a break valve on the outlet pipe of the rotor pump, the safety valve is a must. The following is an example for safety valve installation.
Power connection
It should be operated by electrician according to the relevant regulations. 6 Start up The following regulations must be observed:
The drive shaft and motor shaft should be concentric, or will cause damage to the pump
Idling is forbidden, or it will burn the mechanical seals
Rotor pump is a kind of displacement pump. The output flow is fixed. Whenthe pipe is blocked, it will create high pressure, which leads to the pump expand or seals damaged.Over load will also damage the pump parts.
When inlet and outlet pipes are closed, do not start the pump, or the pump will be damaged.
Check the motor and pump rotation direction before start up.
